Looking For Love: Elmhurst Man Victimized By Lonely-Hearted Identity Thief

Some scammer charged more than $100 to an Elmhurst man's bank account for an online dating service.

A lonely-hearted identity thief charged more than $100 to an Elmhurst man's bank account for an online dating service, police said.

The victimized man reported his problem to the law Friday, police said.

The man told of "three unauthorized charges on his TCF bank account totaling $119.90 from Zoosk company in San Francisco," police said.

The cops took the man's report but apparently are not looking for the crook, as the victim "has been reimbursed by TCF," police said, "matter of record only due to past similar incidents."
