Lombard Man Wanted For Beating Woman Arrested After Bringing Woman He Beat to the Hospital: Cops

The Lombard man's girlfriend suffered severe facial injuries, police said.

A Lombard man wanted on a domestic battery charge was arrested when he brought his girlfriend to the hospital after beating her, police said.

Marcus Butler, 40, of 1 S. 371 Vista Ave. was booked into the Cook County jail Monday. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Officers arrested Butler at Elmhurst Hospital about 8 a.m. Sunday. Butler was "at the hospital because he took his girlfriend there after battering her, causing severe facial injuries," police said.

Butler was arrested on a DuPage County warrant charging him with domestic battery and on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a crack pipe.

Butler went from the Elmhurst police station to the Bellwood police department "for new domestic battery charges," the Elmhurst police said, and from there to jail.

Cook County jail records show Butler is being held on a felony charge of aggravated domestic battery.
