Lemont Man Caught With Pot Charged With Driving on Valium, Methadone ... & Pot: Cops

The Lemont man allegedly disobeyed a traffic signal and impeded traffic.

A Lemont man was charged with driving under the influence of drugs early Sunday morning.

Matthew Sacharczyk, 27, of 12 S. 121 Lemont Road also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, failing to yield and disobeying a traffic signal.

The police reportedly ran into Sacharczyk when they were sent to check out an improperly parked car impeding traffic on North Avenue about 4:30 a.m.

Sacharczyk was somehow "found to be under the influence of valium, methadone and cannabis," police said.

An officer obtained consent to search Sacharczyk's car and found some marijuana, police said.
