Jewelry, Cash & Electronics Stolen From Elmhurst Home

The Elmhurst police are investigating the daytime burglary.

Brazen prowlers broke into an Elmhurst home in the middle of the day and stole jewelry, cash and electronics.

The burglars hit the South York Street house between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

The crooks "entered the locked residence, then entered a bedroom, which was deadbolted and removed numerous electronics, jewelry and currency," police said. "A second room, also deadbolted, was entered and had electronics removed as well."

The matter is under investigation.
