Intoxicated, Shampoo-Drinking Man Crashes Shopping Carts at Elmhurst Kmart: Cops
An Elmhurst man was apparently drinking more than just shampoo, police said.
An Elmhurst man crashed his shopping cart into the carts of Kmart shoppers at the Route 83 superstore Saturday afternoon, police said.
An Elmhurst police officer was sent over to the Kmart shortly after 1:30 p.m. to check on a "possible intoxicated subject hitting customers' shopping carts with his shopping cart," police said.
When the officer got there, he reportedly found 38-year-old Paul Marciniak of 138 Fellows Court.
Marciniak was "located and found to be drinking shampoo out of the bottle," police said.
Marciniak was "transported to Elmhurst hospital, where he was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of open alcohol," police said. "He was then released on bond."
