An Elmhurst man crashed his shopping cart into the carts of Kmart shoppers at the Route 83 superstore Saturday afternoon, police said.

An Elmhurst police officer was sent over to the Kmart shortly after 1:30 p.m. to check on a "possible intoxicated subject hitting customers' shopping carts with his shopping cart," police said.

When the officer got there, he reportedly found 38-year-old Paul Marciniak of 138 Fellows Court.

Marciniak was "located and found to be drinking shampoo out of the bottle," police said.

Marciniak was "transported to Elmhurst hospital, where he was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of open alcohol," police said. "He was then released on bond."

Possession of open alcohol??? Really ?? Are they that desperate for revenue??? I think perhaps concern over him poisoning himself should have been a bigger concern. BTW did you know you can get drunk by soaking your testicles in the "germicidal hand cleaners? Shouldn't all the places providing it be charged with serving alcohol without license?

Maybe he misunderstood the term "clean and sober"

Man goes into bathroom sober, comes out drunk...but smells good.

Germicidal hand cleaners can perforate the scrotal tissue of a fella?

Faust, did you mean permeate instead of perforate? Yes it can permeate, if if perforates then you are doing something wrong!!! Ouch!!!!

I may have, but both sound interesting.

"Pierce and make a hole or holes in". I very well have meant perforate, as this processes reminded me of a Svitzer valve. Either way, I'm giving it a shot tonight.

I personally have not tried but it was validated on a Howard Stern show a few years back. His intern soaked in a glass full and definitely got hammered
