Husband and Wife Report Graveside Shooting

No bullets or BBs found.

A man and his wife told police they were sitting in their vehicle at Elm Lawn Cemetery, 410 E. Lake St. (Frontage Road), next to the grave site of a friend, when they heard two shots fired at 4:10 p.m. Sept. 18. The rear window of their vehicle was broken.

They reportedly left the scene, returned home and called police 45 minutes later. Police found no bullets or anything inside the vehicle to indicate the window had been broken by a projectile.

The victims said they will sign a complaint if the offender is located. They told police they are not having any problems with anyone and have no reason to believe they were being targeted.
