Guns Stolen During Burglary Wednesday

Victim lost not only possessions, but personal identification, as well.

Elmhurst police are reporting that guns and personal information are among the items stolen during a break-in on the 400 block of North Oaklawn Avenue.

The crime was committed sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15. Taken were several pieces of jewelry, birth certificates, Social Security cards, two guns, an iPad and a computer.

Police believe the thief entered the victim's home via a sliding glass door.
