Evening at Mack's Ends in Arrests for Aggravated Assault and DUI

Police report victim's jaw is broken; he was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

Leonard W. Conoboy, 28, 924 S. Fairfield, was arrested after an incident at Mack’s Golden Pheasant, 668 W. North Ave., over the weekend.

Police were called to Mack’s for a fight in progress at 12:18 a.m. March 5. A man told police that while he was trying to break up a fight, Conoboy punched him, breaking his jaw.

Conoboy reportedly fled southbound on Route 83 in a pickup truck driven by Adriane K. Strauser, 25, 8N606 Pasek Place, Elgin. Police stopped  the truck at Elizabeth and Route 83 and arrested Strauser for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was released on bond.

Conoboy also was taken into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated battery. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

The victim was taken by medics to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for treatment for his jaw.
