Elvis Offers Up a Fake ID and Several Alcohol Incidents Reported

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Warrant Arrest

Elvis Lopez, 22, 345 Mason, Bensenville, was arrested after police pulled over his tan Nissan Quest for failure to obey a traffic light at Route 83 and North Avenue at 5:40 a.m. Aug. 22. Lopez was charged with presenting officers with a fake ID, obstructing identification, driving with a suspended license and signal violation. He was taken to DuPage County Jail after police discovered he had two outstanding warrants. A passenger in the car, Eswin Zacarias, 27, of the same address, was arrested and processed "to determine identity," according to the police report. Zacarias was charged with allowing an unauthorized person to drive.

DUI Arrest

Stephen J. Stechnij, 26, 239 Lincoln Court, Wood Dale, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Volkswagon Jetta for disobeying a traffic signal on the first block of Addison Street at 1:17 a.m. Aug. 23. He was released on bond.

Possession of Alcohol

Two people were charged after police noticed a suspicious vehicle parked at the Waverton Hotel, 624 N. York Road, at 1:36 a.m. Aug. 20. When police approached the blue Chrysler 300, they noticed an open beer in the center console and two people in the car. Luis Ortiz, 34, 606 Fenton Ave., Romeoville, was charged with having open alcohol in the car, and Briana L. Arteaga, 19, 2239 S. 60th Court, Cicero, was charged with possession of fraudulent ID. They were released on I-bond.

Underage Drinking

Two teenage girls were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor after police received a complaint of people throwing beer bottles into the street at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 20 at Prospect and Adams streets. Aubrey Parpan, 18, 788 Prospect, Elmhurst, and Paige Piotter, 18, 653 S. Hawthorne, Elmhurst, reportedly were found to be drinking, but they denied any knowledge of the beer bottles that were thrown in the street. They were released on bond.
