marijuana cures cancer, and has been patented by the US Government since 1942 cancer is big business, they have to protect their racket, and profit from both sides, and with soviet style state education you will grow up believing what is written in the NY times, which is owned by the same people who own the banks and the big pharma companies

Listen VERY carefully to the Zantac commercial, a legal drug to help you stop smoking. Suicide cures smoking!
"My Town" Where do I sent the rent check to? Maybe I should say mortgage payment. Just kidding you but the over use of the word "my" seems to say something about the mindset of the world. "Our" and "We" seem more inclusive and less selfish. We need to understand the dynamics behind the continued demand for drugs and addictions of all types. Until that is understood and changed, this problem will continue to exist. I have my theories. Anybody care to offer their thoughts?
I'd skip the brownies and booze calories for a healthy, no-cal doobie or bong...
Legalize it so the strength, quality, and delivery is controlled. Tax the hell out of it to replace the declining cigarette revenue, and stop spending money on cops busting 18 year old kids. If you don't like abortion, or marihuana , don't get them! Minding your own business is a lost art. People will find a way to fulfill their wants or needs. Me? I'd personally rather have a Walgreens selling medicinal pot than a guy selling AK47s out of his car. Guess which one is legal?

That is a generalization. Every team and organization has some issues. We also have some very good officers who should not be lumped under your descriptions.
Most police officers unfortunately today lack what they used to call "Discretion" the reason they wear black uniform's is because the police forces are being militarized. If instead of running up on a couple of teenagers at the park smoking pot they walked up and told them look you are 19 we don't care about the pot, we're just more interested in the house that got robbed for 40,000 in jewelry, they might get some leads and build some relationships. Remember these people live in the community and busting them for petty things like smoking pot is like busting jay walkers, and it is revenue generating sure, but it is petty, and un productive. I would rather see the police be more respected, rather than disliked... unfortunately by formenting a culture, and generation of young adults that don't trust the police, and dislike them, based on harsh treatment it is doing a dis-service in the long term. Remember, all officers have what is called "Discretion". If the cop said look I ran your name you are clean no trouble, just dont smoke here in the park here is your stuff, if you see any kids breaking into garages or vandalizing stuff let me know thats what im really looking for i bet you way more crimes would be solved.
