Elmhurst Police Report Warrant Arrests, Public Intoxication, Battery

Teen arrests include battery, drinking and possession of cannabis. Teens also suspected of drawing obscene images on Larch Street.

Warrant Arrests

Jefferson Deverette, 26, 221 S. 19th Ave., Maywood, turned himself in on a warrant for burglary out of DuPage County at 3:21 p.m. Jan. 1. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Christopher Brownlee, 44, 17W721 Kirkland, Villa Park, was arrested on a warrant out of Cook County for driving with a suspended license, and on a warrant out of DuPage County for obstructing after police pulled over his white Chevrolet Impala for no seat belt at North Avenue and Route 83 at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 31. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Barry F. Tharp, 23, no address given, was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear on the 400 block of East Church Street at 2:34 p.m. Dec. 31. He was released on bond.

Travell J. Neal, 25, 3107 N. Wellington Place, Murfreesboro, Tenn., was arrested on a warrant out of Kane County for failure to appear after police pulled over his brown Dodge Dynasty for no seat belt at North Avenue and Route 83 at 5:52 a.m. Jan. 1. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Danny Zlatkovic, 38, 2445 Saranac Lane, Glenview, turned himself in on a warrant for contempt of court at 4:50 p.m. Dec. 17. He was released with a new court date.

Raushaun Sanders, 19, 1033 Dickens, Northlake, was arrested on a warrant out of Stone Park on an original charge of battery after police pulled over his green BMW XE for no seat belt at 1:49 a.m. Dec. 21. He also was charged with obstructing identification after allegedly providing officers with a false name and date of birth. He was released on bond.

Samantha J. Paldauf, 24, 529 Main St., Lasalle, turned herself in on a warrant for failure to appear at 7:33 p.m. Dec. 22. She was released on bond with a new court date.

Domestic Battery

Marcie Eldred, 37, 115 E. Fremont, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at her home at 1:37 a.m. Jan. 1. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

William Lowery, 20, 351 E. Fullerton, was arrested and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property at his home at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 1. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Jason Schwed, 32, 679 W. Alexander, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at his home at 3:17 a.m. Dec. 28. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Leonard Gentile, 49, 738 N. Adele, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at his home at 9:45 p.m. Dec. 20. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Juan F. Gutierrez, 40, 805 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at his home at 1:32 a.m. Dec. 14. He was taken to DuPage County Jail, and two rifles and a pistol were removed from the home, police said.

Interfering with Reporting Domestic Violence

Anthony DiChiara, 44, 736 S. Parkside, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with interfering with the reporting of domestic violence at his home at 7:14 p.m. Dec. 29. He was released on bond.

Battery

Gustavo Castro, 37, 302 N. Highview, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with battery at his home at 4 a.m. Dec. 29. He was released on bond.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested and charged with battery after police say she attacked a person behind the counter of McDonald's, 190 E. Butterfield Road, at 6:38 p.m. Jan. 2. The victim was bleeding from the head and hand, police said. The suspect was released to her mother.

Disorderly Conduct

Mark V. Malchert, 56, 207 Hampshire, Elmhurst, was cited with public intoxication at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Av., at 3:41 p.m. Dec. 31. 

Moses Spencer, 38, 837 W. Thomas, Forest Park, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and possession of open alcohol at First and Addison at 7:36 p.m. Dec. 31. He was released on bond.

Oscar La Guard Cooper, 59, 602 N. Indiana, was arrested and charged with urinating in public at Crestview and Michigan at 8:19 a.m. Dec. 31. He was released on bond.

Three teens were seen on surveillance camera drawing an obscene image in the snow on the vehicle of a resident of the 200 block of North Larch at 7:22 p.m. Dec. 26. Police are investigating.

A group of teenagers used what appeared to be a grease pen to draw obscene images on the rear window of a red Chevy Malibu parked on the 200 block of North Larch between 5:30 and 11:30 p.m. Dec. 7. The owner of the vehicle had yelled at the teens to leave earlier in the evening, and one of the teens she yelled at was seen on surveillance camera drawing on the vehicle. The drawing was removed without permanent damage.

Robert L. Baldwin, 64, 320 George St., Bensenville, was arrested and charged with public intoxication at North and Larch at 1:09 p.m. Dec. 15. 

Police answering a call for a motorist assist at Church and Cottage Hill at 3:07 a.m. Dec. 7 ended up charging a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old with multiple offenses. The passenger of the tan Toyota Camry fled on foot and was later caught. Both were arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, disorderly conduct/obstructing a peace officer, violation of curfew, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver also was charged with improper lane use, driving with an unsafe tire and driving without a license.
