Elmhurst Police Report Multiple Arrests for Possession of Cannabis Last Week

Also, girl cited for disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting at York High School.

DUI Arrest

Jorge Orellana, 28, 1340 N. Waller St., Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of cannabis after police pulled over his black Ford Focus for disobeying a traffic control signal, improper lane use and failure to signal at Butterfield and York at 3:29 a.m. Dec. 6. Police said they found 2.5 grams of cannabis in the center console of the vehicle. He was released on bond. A passenger, William A. Maldonado, 18, 920 N. Trumbull, Chicago, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Police said he also provided a false name and was found to have a no-bond warrant for parole violation from the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Possession of Cannabis

Brenda Lee Goldman, 25, 8136 Wicker Park Drive, Highland, Ind., was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without insurance after police pulled over her Toyota Scion at Lake Street and Route 83 at 12:29 a.m. Dec. 3. She was released on bond.

Nionsa J. Ray, 24, 306 N. Oak, Wood Dale, and two teenagers were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police saw them in a vehicle at East End Park at 3:28 p.m. Dec. 5. They were released on I-bond.

Joel C. Reece, 19; Craig F. Swift (no age given); and Edward J. Sharkey, 19, all of 190 S. Prospect Ave., were was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police say they found them in a Buick Riviera parked at 209 Kimbell at 9:46 p.m. Dec. 3. Sharkey also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on bond.

Timothy C. Sterning, 23, 1502 DeQuoia Lane, Darien, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without insurance after police pulled over his gray Honda Accord for speeding at St. Charles and Fair at 12:24 a.m. Dec. 4. He was released on bond.

Mihai Draghici, 21, 155 Barron St., Bensenville, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled him over for failure to signal, improper lane use and no seat belt at 650 W. Grand at 11:50 p.m. Dec. 5. He also was found to have a warrant out of Chicago. He was released on bond. A passenger in the vehivle, Roberto Santacruz, 18, 810 N. Van Auken, Elmhurst, was charged with possession of cannabis and released on bond.

Diethra M. McNeil, 36, 2133 15th Ave. Apt. 3B, Broadview, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police found him in his Pontiac Grand Am on the 100 block of East Elmhurst at 5:53 p.m. Dec. 6. He was released on I-bond.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Priscilla I. Tapia, 20, 129 S. Addison Road, Addison, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over her Dodge Caravan for one headlight at Lake Street and Grand Avenue at 11:51 p.m. Dec. 2. she was released on bond.

James C. Stavropolous, 21, 143 Maple, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police received a call for a suspicious black Jeep parked on the 100 block of North Maple at 3:43 a.m. Dec. 4. He was released on bond.

Fight at York Leads to Arrest

A 14-year-old girl was issued a citation for disorderly conduct after she and another girl were involved in a physical altercation at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road, at 1:20 p.m. Dec. 6. She was released on I-bond.
