Elmhurst Police Report Eight Arrests for DUI in the Past Week

Woman who came into the police station to report she hit a parked vehicle was charged with DUI.

The following arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol were taken from Elmhurst police reports dated May 3-8.

Cathy A. O'Neill, age not given, 241 E. St. Charles Road, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after police say she came into the police department on May 3 to report the Honda CRV she was driving hit a parked vehicle at Chandler and Park. She was released on bond.

Andrew Sanchez, 23, 6851 S. Komensky, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his Chevrolet Malibu for improper lane use at York and First streets at 7:58 a.m. May 3. He was released on bond.

Kenneth Lama, 29, 3758 N. Olcot, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his blue Ford Expedition for driving the wrong way down a one-way street at Second and Addison at 11:59 p.m. May 4. He was released on bond.

Jose Garcia, 23, 1105 N. 19th Ave., Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol after police pulled over his gray Ford Focus for no headlights at York and Third streets at 1:59 a.m. May 4. A passenger in his vehicle, Alonso Ayala, 19, 2705 Granville, Melrose Park, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol. Both were released on bond.

Richard Jama, 53, 5 Taft Ave., Hillside, was arrested and charged with DUI after police said he was urinating on the side of the road at Route 83 and Elizabeth at 4:08 a.m. May 4. He was released on bond.

Isaac Flores, 30, 1609 S. 57th Court, Cicero, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license after police pulled over his silver Mercedes Benz C230 for improper lane use at County Line and Grand at 1:33 a.m. May 5. He was released on bond.

Michael Duh, 24, 26111 N. St. Mary's, Mettawa, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his red Chevrolet Tahoe at Park and Arlington at 3:45 a.m. May 5. Police had prior contact with him that night and had told him not to drive. He was released on bond.

Nicholas Schlitz, 23, 150 E. Grand Ave. Apt. 104, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over his blue Mitsubishi for improper lane use at York and Grand at 12:23 a.m. May 8. He was released on bond.
