Elmhurst Police Report DUI Arrests and a Hot Bed on North York

Elmhurst man also arrested for riding his bike with an open beer and a one-hitter.

DUI Arrests

Steve Fisher, 24, 231 E. Madison, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis and improper stopping on the roadway after police found him sleeping in his black Toyota Avalon at the intersection of First and York streets at 2:01 a.m. Sept. 8. He was released on I-bond.


Nicholas S. Reynolds, 26, 2500 78th Court, Elmwood Park, was arrested and charged with DUI after he was pulled over for speeding and improper lane use at Roosevelt and Route 83 at 1:37 a.m. Sept. 9. He was released on bond.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Kent Hughes, 47, 120 Fellows Court Apt. A, Elmhurst was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of liquor on public property after police on patrol at Thomas and Villa reportedly saw him riding his bike without a headlight at 12:19 a.m. Sept. 8. Police said he was in possession of a open container of beer and a one-hitter pipe. He was released on I-bond.

Fire

A mattress and box spring were found to be on fire on the 900 block of North York at 11:51 p.m. Sept. 10. The Elmhurst Fire Department extinguished the fire.
