Elmhurst Police Report Drug and Alcohol Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Possession of a Controlled Substance
William L. Horton, 39, 17931 Fair Oaks Drive, Country Club Hills, and Julia K. Trippiedi, 30, of the same address, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after police saw a white Ford Explorer driven by Horton pull into a parking lot at 956 N. York Road at 10:50 p.m. Sept. 29. Police said an unknown female approached the passenger side of the vehicle and handed an item to Trippiedi. When police confronted them, they discovered Horton and Trippiedi were in possession of heroin capsules. They were taken to DuPage County Jail.

Sandra Calzada, 54, 1948 N. 17th Ave., Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with parking in a fire lane and possession of a controlled substance after an incident at Jewel, 944 S. York Road, at 12:25 a.m. Oct. 2. While on patrol, police saw a black Mercury Cougar parked in the fire lane at Jewel. When police contacted Calzada, she allegedly appeared disoriented. A search of the vehicle revealed two codeine pills and an open bottle of vodka. A passenger, John Grams, 5135 Ridge Ave., Hillside, was charged with possession of open alcohol and released on I-bond. Calzada was taken to DuPage County Jail.

DUI Arrests
Paul G. Leidecker, 23, 477 W. Fremont, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal transportation of alcohol after police pulled over his silver Mitsubishi Lancer at Route 83 and North Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 1. He was released on bond.

Daryl L. King, 39, 1674 Gilberto St., Glendale Heights, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his white Cadillac for improper lane use at North Avenue and Route 83 at 3:24 a.m. Oct. 2. He was released on I-bond.

Possession of Cannabis
Richard Perez, 22, 201 Edgehill, was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of cannabis, speeding and improper lane use after police pulled over his black Chevy Impala at Roosevelt and York Road at 4 a.m. Sept. 30. In addition to cannabis, police found an unknown person's mailbox and mail in the trunk. He was released on bond.

Cody M. Rzepka, 21, 118 Cynthia St., Bronson, Mich., was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle at 900 S. Fairfield at 9:10 p.m. Sept. 30. He was released on I-bond.

Jonathan Holtorff, 18, 265 Nordic Apt. 2E, Bloomingdale, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police pulled over his blue Ford Taurus for failure to signal at 3:56 p.m. Oct. 3 at York and Crestview. He was released on I-bond.

Joseph F. Ubriaco, 21, 432 Atwater, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over his gray Honda Civic for disregarding a no-turn sign on the 100 block of East Marion at 4:31 p.m. Oct. 5. Police found three glass smoking pipes and a bag of suspect cannabis. He was released on I-bond.
