Elmhurst Police Report Disorderly Conduct, Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage

An Elmhurst resident was alarmed when a man came to her door looking for sex, and a fight over a sandwich leads to police intervention.

Disorderly Conduct

An Elmhurst woman was alarmed and called police after a man came to her door at 1:06 p.m. April 19 looking for someone to have sex with. The man told police he went to the woman’s home to follow up on a Craigslist posting by a woman who wanted to have sex. Turns out he had the wrong address. An investigation is pending.

Joshua Cradock, 24, 103 W. First St., Elmhurst, was issued a ticket for public intoxication after he was found unconscious outside his home at 12:53 a.m. April 17. Police determined he was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself, so he was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

Domestic Battery

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest after an incident at his home at 6:55 p.m. April 14. The victim told police that when she woke up from a nap, she saw the boy eating her sandwich. They began to argue, and the boy threw the sandwich at her, choked her and hit her head into the stairs about five or six time. While trying to take the boy into custody, police said he struggled with them and refused to put his hands behind his back. He was taken to the juvenile detention center in Wheaton.

Demi Passaris, 20, 836 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after an argument at his home at 7:22 p.m. April 17. Passaris was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Criminal Damage

Staff at Clarion Inn Hotel, 933 S. Riverside, reported that a guest of the hotel severely damaged her room between 2:44 p.m. April 15 and 2 p.m. April 16. The staff reported that an iron and a clock were stolen. The room also had a strong odor of burnt cannabis and was smoke-damaged. The mattress and bed sheets sustained damage from “heavy urination,” and the mattress “had to be cleaned, bleached and aired out,” reports said. Damage is estimated at $410. The offender was contacted and said she will make payments to the hotel.

Found BB Guns

An Elmhurst resident brought three air-powered guns into the police station at 3:23 p.m. April 16. She found them in her basement and said she believed they had been left by the previous owner.
