Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Prostitution, DUI, Drugs

Woman backs into police car after being stopped for DUI, and other items from the Elmhurst police blotter.

Prostitution

Juanita A. Smith, 25, 14160 Calumet Ave., Dolton, was arrested and charged with prostitution and keeping a place of prostitution at 8:08 p.m. May 12. Police answered Smith’s advertisement at Bacpage.com and set up an appointment for that evening. She confirmed the rate of $200 for an hour, $100 for a half-hour. Police met with Smith at an undisclosed location, and she offered services for cash.

Elda Berrera, 28, 517 Dempster, Mount Prospect, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane use and driving without a license after a traffic stop at 12:26 a.m. May 14 at North Avenue and Clinton Street. She was released on bond.

Alex S. Klopacz, 26, 5832 Huron St., Berkley, was arrested and charged with DUI, disobeying a stop sign, driving without lights and failure to signal at 1:52 a.m. May 14 at Kenmore and Church streets. He was released on bond.

Timothy C. Lepore, 25, 148 W. St. Charles, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with DUI and disobeying a stop sign at 3:16 a.m. May 14 at York and Madison streets. He was released on I-bond.

Samantha E. Rovetto, 21, 2905 Starline Lane, Rolling Meadows, was arrested and charged with DUI, improper backing, improper lane use, failure to signal, driving without headlights and disobeying a traffic control device at 1:01 a.m. May 15 at North Avenue and York Road. After police stopped Rovetto, she backed her white Mazda 3 into the squad car, then she drove away, heading westbound on North Avenue. She turned onto southbound Addison Street, where she eventually stopped. She was released on I-bond to her mother.

Antonio Silva-Justo, 21, 642 S. York Road #306, Bensenville, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a license, failure to signal and improper lane use after he was stopped at 2:11 a.m. May 15 at York and Belmont. He was released on bond.

Gabriel Torres, 43, 1030 N. Division St. Apt. A, Lombard, was arrested and charged with DUI, improper lane use, failure to signal and driving without a license after a traffic stop at 12:55 a.m. May 16 at North and Villa. He was released on I-bond.

Julie C. Wagner, 24, 5927 Fairmont, Woodridge, was arrested and charged with DUI and improper lane use after a traffic stop at 1:10 a.m. May 16 at York and Fremont. She was released on bond.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

Juan C. Vargas, 25, 323 Hale #1, Addison, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with illegal transportation of alcohol after a traffic stop at 3:25 a.m. May 15 at Lake Street and McNair. He was released on I-bond. The driver, Jaime Navarro, 30, 846 N. Richmond, Chicago, was cited for driving without insurance and improper lane use. He was released at the scene on I-bond. A passenger, Luis A. Escobar, 20, 90 E. Fullerton, Addison, was cited for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and released on I-bond at the scene.

Possession of Cannabis

Traamel K. Ousley 21, 1077 Briarbrook #209, Wheaton, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at 9:57 p.m. May 12 at Roosevelt and Commonwealth Avenue. He was released on I-bond.

Joshua Lamb, 37, 138 Mapletree, Carpentersville, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 5:35 p.m. May 13 at Elmhurst and Haven streets. He was released on I-bond.

Michael Teylingen, 33, 206 W. Division Apt. H, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and driving without insurance after a traffic stop for driving on the shoulder of the roadway at 5:54 p.m. May 13 on the 600 block of West St. Charles Road. He was released on I-bond.

Megan B. Hubbard, 20, 476 Main St., Lombard, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police responded to a suspicious vehicle parked at 104 N. DuPage at 3:58 a.m. May 14. She was released on bond.
