Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Possession of Cannabis

Arrests include people who were walking, driving and sitting at a bar.

Theresa R. Harris, 40, 5309 W. Washington, Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and illegal transportation of alcohol after the car she was a passenger in was pulled over for expired registration at 11:49 p.m. April 1 at Avery and Butterfield Road. The officer saw open alcohol in plain view on the passenger side floor.  She was released on bond. The driver, Joe Watson, 46, 1041 N. Harding, Chicago, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and released at the scene.

Jason D. Stedman, 25, 651 W. Crockett, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after a bouncer at Charlie’s, 122 S. York Road, told police at 1:19 a.m. April 2 that Stedman was smoking weed on the back patio.  He was released on bond.

A 16-year-old boy was charged on city ordinance for possession of tobacco by a minor and possession of cannabis at 8:27 p.m. April 2 at 533 S. Spring Road. He was released to his father.

Andrea M. Sharp, 33, 144 Morgansgate Drive, Wood Dale, and Avory D. Banks, 24, 9314 S. Normal, Chicago, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after a traffic stop at Lake Street and Route 83 at 1:21 a.m. April 4. Police said they had cannabis on their clothing and cannabis was found scattered throughout the car. The driver, Sharp, also was charged with driving with a suspended license, no valid registration, tinted windows and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released on bond. Banks was also found to have a warrant out of Sauk Village on a driving on a suspended license charge. He was released on bond.

Martin R. Krafcky, 19, 341 S. Poplar Ave., was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:53 a.m. April 10 at Poplar and St. Charles. Police saw Krafcky out past curfew and approached him. He reportedly turned over the cannabis and a smoking pipe to police. He was released on bond.
