Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Phony Hydrocodone Prescription, Delivery of Ecstasy

Also, woman with a 6-year-old in her car is arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

Elmhurst police reported a number of arrests for unlawful use of drugs over the past two weeks.

A drug investigation led to the arrest of Brandon Vasquez, 19, 950 W. 36th St., Chicago, and Angelo Nesci, 21, 840 W. 33rd St., Chicago, for delivery of ecstasy and possession of cannabis at York and Crescent at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 1. Police said they were in the process of delivering 101 ecstasy pills, and they had 1.5 grams of cannabis in their possession. Their red 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe was seized for forfeiture, along with $1,450.

Kim Becker, 40, of Elmhurst (no address given), was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and endangering the life of a child after police received a call for a DUI driver on the 500 block of Spring Road at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 19. Police said Becker was located with a 6-year-old in her vehicle.

Mariam Jaji, 32, 4653 Kenney Apt. 2E, Skokie, was arrested and charged with passing a fraudulent prescription for hydrocodone pills at CVS Pharmacy, 110 E. North Ave., at 7:52 p.m. Sept. 16. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Pauline Picardi, 21, 228 W. Wagner Drive, Northlake, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs after police pulled over her gray Honda Civic for disobeying a traffic control signal and speeding at Interstate 290 and Route 83 at 2:08 a.m. Sept. 14. She also was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on bond.

Shawndre L. Mock, 5430 S. May, Chicago, was arrested and charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of cannabis after police pulled over a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee for improper lane use at County Line and Romans at 9:58 p.m. Sept. 15. Mock was released on bond.

Thomas Kazmierczak, 20, 1071 S. Center St., Bensenville, was arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police observed four individuals walking at York and Lake Street at 1:36 a.m. Sept. 22. Christopher Kazmierczak, 19, of the same address, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County and for consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was taken to Kane County Juvenile Center.

Taurus George, 33, 5457 Cortez, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI-drugs, driving without insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol after police stopped for a motorist assist at Roosevelt and Euclid at 1:07 a.m. Sept. 27. He was released on bond. 

Leone A. Schwestka, 25, 431 S. Harvey Apt. G, Oak Park, and Cheryl Shields, 19, 1161 S. Humphrey, Oak Park, were cited for possession of cannabis after a traffic stop at St. Charles and Kenilworth at 9:55 p.m. Sept. 27. Schwestka, the driver, also was cited for expired registration. Passenger Brittany Campbell, 22, 440 S. Lombard, Oak Park, was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, and passenger Eric Williams, 19, 1163 Lyman, Oak Park, was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
