Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Parole Violation, Battery, Providing Alcohol to Minors

A child endangerment case and a road rage incident also are under investigation, police said.

Warrant Arrests

Sandra N. Springfield, 44, 502 N. Howard, Elmhurst, was arrested at the police station on a warrant out Downers Grove for larceny at 7:25 p.m. Oct. 25. She was turned over to Downers Grove police.

Steve Sylfradin, 28, 746 W. Bode, Hoffman Estates, was arrested on a warrant out of Lake County for forgery after police pulled him over for driving on the shoulder at North Avenue and Route 83 at 4:49 p.m. Oct. 28. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

William Jensen, 47, last known address of 3210 W. Arthington, Chicago, was arrested on a no-bond state warrant for parole violation after police responded to a call for a suspicious person on the 700 block of North Larch at 2:04 a.m. Oct. 30. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Police are investigating after an individual allegedly left two children in an unattended vehicle at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, for more than 15 minutes at 11:27 a.m. Oct. 27

Battery

Anica Hart, 20, 4012 Warren, Bellwood, was arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and disorderly conduct/fighting after police said she was found fighting in a black Volkswagon Torueg with Christina Romiti, 29, 158 Kingery Quarter Apt. 208, Willowbrook, at 2:11 a.m. Oct. 28. Romiti was charged with obstructed windshield and illegal transportation of alcohol. They both were released on bond.

A road rage incident resulted in a suspect punching a person in the mouth because the suspect thought the victim had been stopped at a stop sign too long at West and Second streets at 2:53 p.m. Oct. 28. Both the victim and offender drove to the police station, medics were called, and photos and statements were taken. No charges were filed that day, but police said charges would be filed at a later time.

Failure to Report an Accident

A gray Volkswagon Passat driven by William Cirone, 36, 1850 Kenilworth Apt. 2, Berwyn, allegedly hit the McDonald's building at 190 E. Butterfield at 12:14 a.m. Oct. 29. Cirone was charged with failure to report an accident and injury to property. He was released on bond.

Providing Alcohol to Minors

Eric Schoen, 20, 946 Bryan, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with providing alcohol to minors and possession of alcohol by a minor after police said he was seen purchasing alcohol for himself and others after collecting money at 5:59 p.m. Oct. 25. He was stopped at First and Clinton streets. John Newell, 19, 23W234 Edgewood Court, Glen Ellyn, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor. To other minors in the car also were charged with possession of alcohol. They all were released on bond.

Possession of Cannabis

James C. Hubbard, 50, 398 N. Kenilworth Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested and cited under city ordinance with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police saw him riding his bike in the alley behind Pints on South York at 5:58 a.m. Oct. 26.

Disorderly Conduct

Zachary R. Ferg, 25, 16W603 Red Oak, Bensenville, and Timothy R. Dunne, 25, 131 Fairlane Ave., Elmhurst, were cited for disorderly conduct after police say they urinated outside at Park and Linden at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 27.
