Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for DUI, Possession of Cannabis

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI Arrests

Katherine M. Speyer, 25, 288 S. Cedar, Wooddale, was arrested and charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information and not having her drivers license in her possession after an accident at 183 Addison St. at 12:44 a.m. June 3. Speyer reportedly drove her vehicle into a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Park Ridge man.

Richard A. Swanek, 34, 170 E. Lake St. #102, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after a traffic stop for failure to signal at 170 E. Lake St. at 12:48 a.m. June 4. He was released on I-bond.

Veronica W. Mureithi, 45, 185 Bloomfield Drive, Woodstock, was arrested and charged with DUI after police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle at 765 N. York Road at 2:23 a.m. June 5. She was released on I-bond.

Raphael Williams, 26, 3844 W. Wilcox, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license and open alcohol after the rental car he was driving was stopped for improper lane use at St. Charles and Prospect at 2:45 a.m. June 5. He was released on I-bond to his mother.

Possession of Cannabis

Joseph K. Payne, 23, 850 Northaven Drive, Memphis, and Sherita N. Lenoir, 22, 15515 Woodlawn Apt. E, South Holland, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at the Waverton Hotel, 624 N. York Road, at 11:05 p.m. June 5. Police saw both subjects smoking a blunt in the parking lot. They were released on I-bond.
