Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for DUI, Hit and Run, and Outstanding Warrants

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI Arrests

Ariane P. Scolaro, 26, 836 S. Chatham, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over her silver Hyundai for speeding at 1:10 a.m. Oct. 28 near her home. She was released on I-bond.

Joanne N. Schivarelli, 61, 1700 Riverwoods Drive Apt. 419, Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over her silver Nissan Altima for disobeying a red light at North Avenue and Route 83 at 11:39 p.m. Oct. 29. She was released on I-bond.

Thomas P. Tyrrell, 49, 1702 Forest Cove Apt. 305, Mount Prospect, was arrested and charged with DUI after he reportedly was seen slumped over the wheel of a black Nissan Versa stopped in the middle of the road at 1:24 a.m. Oct. 30 at Maple and North Avenue. He was released on bond.

Hit and Run

Jose Hernandez, 22, 1608 Lee, Berkeley, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident after his Nissan Sentra was involved in a crash with a car driven by a 31-year-old Maywood resident at York and North Avenue at 3:53 p.m. Oct. 28.


Michael P. Gutierrez, 22, 30W245 Bedford Court, Warrenville, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, driving without evidence of registration, improper lane use and failure to give information after his green Chevrolet Camaro was involved in an accident with a 47-year-old Elmhurst resident on the 500 block of South Spring Road at 9:40 a.m. Oct. 31.

Possession of Cannabis

Eric Green, 47, 17W161 Monterey Ave., Oakbrook Terrace, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police pulled over his maroon Ford Expedition for illegal lane use at York and Vallette at 12:44 a.m. Oct. 29. He was released on I-bond.

Warrant Arrests

Lauren Schobert, 32, 3001 Anton Drive, Aurora, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear after a traffic stop on the 200 block of West Avenue at 12:48 a.m. Oct. 22. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Anthony Occhipinti, 33, 633 Spring Road, Elmhurst, was stopped at North Avenue and Route 83 at 3:49 p.m. Oct. 27 and arrested on an outstanding warrant out of DuPage County. He was released on bond.

Anthony Noto, 47, 393 W. Van Buren, turned himself in on a warrant for violation of an order of protection at 11:28 p.m. Oct. 28. He was released on bond. Fredric W. Blanche, 45, 410 E. Red Oak Ave., Bensenville, was arrested after police were called to North Avenue and River Glen to investigate a suspicious vehicle at 1:44 p.m. Oct. 29. Police discovered Blanche had a warrant out of Kane County for DUI. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Edward Walsh, 22, 341 S. Kenilworth, Elmhurst, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear on a domestic battery charge after police were called to another domestic incident on the 300 block of South Kenilworth at 5 p.m. Oct. 31. He was released on bond.

Syringes Found Police said someone turned in a bag containing trash, two soda can bottoms and a capped hypodermic syringe that were found on the 300 block of Kimball at 4:32 p.m. Oct. 28.
