Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for DUI, Battery and Possession of Cannabis

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI Arrests

Osvaldo Ocasio, 36, 109 E. Red Oak St., Bensenville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over his tan Lincoln Town Car for improper lane use at York and Grand at 1:23 a.m. Dec. 3. He also was found to be illegally transporting alcohol. He was released on I-bond.

Elvis Golgota, 34, 145 S. York Road, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his gray Honda for disobeying a traffic signal at York and Third streets at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 3. He was released on I-bond.

Gustave A. Henao, 25, 5311 Wrightwood Second Floor, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his blue Plymouth Acclaim for speeding at North and York at 3:36 a.m. Dec. 3. He was released on I-bond.

Antonio Brito, 47, 2018 S. Washtenaw, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his red Chevy Aveo, which was traveling 20 miles per hour down North Avenue at Larch, at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3.

Mary C. Dunne, 27, 307 S. Kenmore, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to give information after her gray Jeep Grand Cherokee was involved in a crash with a vehicle driven by a Florida man at 630 W. Lake St. at 7 p.m. Dec. 6. Dunne allegedly left the scene of the crash. She was pulled over at 7:26 p.m. for improper lane use, improper passing and driving on the sidewalk at Third and Addison streets. She was released on I-bond.

Benjamin J. Hendron, 24, 23233 Rebecca Court, Naperville, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Pontiac Grand Prix for speeding at Crestview and Kenilworth at 9:48 p.m. Dec. 6. He was released on I-bond.

Domestic Battery

Steven F. Wojnicki, 21, 185 Fairlane, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 9:26 p.m. Dec. 4 at his home. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Ulysses Moreno, 25, 255 N. Addison, Bensenville, turned himself in at the Elmhurst Police Station on a domestic battery charge at 4:23 p.m. Dec. 5. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Battery Arrest

Daniel D. Velarde, 24, 1N700 Western Ave., Glendale Heights, was arrested and charged with battery after an altercation at York and Park Avenue at 1:31 a.m. Dec. 3. Police said several people were arguing across the bar at Fitz's Spare Keys, and the argument later turned into a physical altercation outside. Velarde allegedly punched a victim in the face.

Disorderly Conduct/Public Intoxication

Charles S. Stevenson, 66, 228 Oakland Grove, Elmhurst, was cited for disorderly conduct/public intoxication at 234 S. Oakland Grove at 5:48 a.m. Dec. 3. Police responded to a call for a man lying on a front lawn. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, cited and released on I-bond.

Possession of Cannabis

Jennifer C. Parker, 21, 10322 S. Oglesby, Chicago, and Eric L. Brown, 25, 7722 S. East End, Chicago, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after a traffic stop at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at North Avenue and Route 83. Parker also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and Brown was also cited for driving on the shoulder.

Santiago Alvarez, 27, 5223 W. 23rd St., Cicero, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, driving with a suspended license and failure to secure a child after police pulled over his white Toyota Camry for failure to signal and no seat belt at 11:42 p.m. Dec. 2 at Grand and Industrial Drive. Police allegedly found three small baggies containing suspect cannabis in his front jacket pocket. He was released on bond.

A 17-year-old and two 16-year-old boys were arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor after police were called to Chandler and Marion streets on a report of a suspicious vehicle at 11:31 p.m. Dec. 3. One of the 16-year-olds also was found to be in possession of cannabis. They were processed, charged, and released to their parents on I-bond.
