Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for DUI and Possession of Cannabis

Man hits a couple of parked cars before being pulled over.

Possession of Cannabis
Melvin Turner Jr., 23, 251 N. Howard, Hillside, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at 636 W. Commonwealth at 12:10 a.m. Oct. 21. A search of Turner's green Buick LeSabre revealed .5 grams of cannabis. He was released on bond.

Aggravated DUI Arrest
William Fairchild, 56, 140 S. Wood Dale Road Apt. 54, Wood Dale, was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI, driving with a revoked license, speeding, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving without insurance after police pulled over his green Chevrolet Tahoe at Freemont and West at 3:06 p.m. Oct. 26. Police said Fairchild nearly hit a couple of parked vehicles as he was headed southbound on York Road. They discovered his drivers license had been revoked for DUI. He was taken to DuPage County Jail and his vehicle towed for forfeiture.

DUI Arrests
Freddy G. Vigil, 18, 17W181 Rodeck Lane, Bensenville, was arrested and charged with DUI and consumption of alcohol by a minor after police pulled over his green Nissan Xterra for improper lane use at Grand and Weigel at 1:27 a.m. Oct. 22. He was released on I-bond.

Samuel Garcia Jr., 20, 511 E. Palmer, Addison, was arrested and charged with zero tolerance DUI, consumption of alcohol by a minor, driving without insurance and speeding after police pulled over his Nissan Altima at 2:26 a.m. Oct. 22 at North and Interstate 294. He was released on bond. A passenger in the car, Nikko A. DePasquale, 18, 1406 N. 16th Ave., Melrose Park, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and released on bond.

Lindsey E. Rys, 23, 133 E. 29th St., LaGrange Park, was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over her tan Chrysler 300 M for speeding, failure to signal and improper lane use at Roosevelt and Route 83 at 4:08 a.m. Oct. 22. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass smoking pipe with burnt cannabis residue. She was released on I-bond.

Mauro M. Bruno, 31, 654 Natalie, Addison, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Volvo for failure to signal and improper lane use at Route 83 and Lake Street at 1:40 a.m. Oct. 23. He was released on I-bond.
