Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Drugs Dec. 28-30

And, woman denies dumping her garbage in a dumpster of a business but offers to apologize to the business anyway.

Drug Possession

Michael J. Matook, 21, 1239 Holly Court, Downers Grove, and Samantha M. Shepley, 21, 200 Maison Court, Elmhurst, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after a traffic stop for failure to signal at First and Poplar at 2:42 a.m. Dec. 28. Shepley also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on bond.

Evan R. Kristov, 20, 138 Elm Tree Lane, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle at 153 E. Schiller at 10:36 p.m. Dec. 28. He was released on bond.

Louis J. Hall, 20, 465 W. Butterfield, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over his silver Toyota at Butterfield and Verret at 1:25 a.m. Dec. 29. He was released on bond.

A teenage girl was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police received a call for a suspicious vehicle at Schiller and Hampshire at 8:53 p.m. Dec. 30. Police located .8 grams of cannabis and a glass smoking pipe. She was released on bond to her father.

Illegal Dumping

Garbage was found illegally dumped in a dumpster of a business on the 700 block of West St. Charles Road between Dec. 13 and 29. The complainant thinks he knows who has been dumping there because the trash contains junk mail with a woman's name and address on it. Police spoke to the woman, who denied putting any garbage in the dumpster. But she still offered to call the complainant and apologize, police said.

Someone dumped eight Christmas trees on the front lawn and around the front door of a home on the 500 block of West Armitage between midnight and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 29. The homeowners moved the trees to the parkway for garbage pickup.
