Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Domestic Battery, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Domestic Battery

Eric R. Schoen, 18, 946 S. Bryan, was arrested and charged with domestic battery, unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic battery and consumption of alcohol by a minor after police were called at 4:27 a.m. on Nov. 24. Police are not releasing the location of the incident. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Brendan Freaney, 26, 122 E. Highland, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with domestic battery and criminal trespass after police were called to a report of an argument around 4 p.m. on Nov. 25. Police did not disclose the location of the incident. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Jeremy J. Smulski, 21, 291 N. Maple, was arrested at his home and charged with domestic battery at 8:21 p.m. Nov. 28. He was first taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, then to DuPage County Jail.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Zacary I. Brown, 27, 9042 Gary Place, Indianapolis, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without insurance after police pulled over his green Ford Ranger for one headlight at Richard and Schiller at 4:01 a.m. Nov. 29. Police found two glass cannabis smoking pipes in the vehicle. He was released on I-bond. A passenger in the vehicle, Timothy L. Hanan, 41, 157 N. Hampshire, Elmhurst, was cited for failure to wear a seat belt and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on bond.

Theft Arrest

Patricia Herrera-Reyes, 25, 109 Bielke Apt. A, Addison, was arrested and charged with retail theft at Kmart, 265 S. Route 83, at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 29. She allegedly stole about $82 worth of cosmetics and was apprehended by store security. She was released on bond.
