Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Construction Noise and Domestic Battery

City ordinance says 6:40 a.m. is too early for hammering.

Violation of Construction Hours

Daniel R. Jorgenson, 28, 1740 N. Maplewood, Chicago, was cited under city ordinance for violation of construction hours at 1050 S. Euclid. His workers were working and making noise at 6:40 a.m. March 2. Jorgenson works for Bovis Lend Lease.

Domestic Battery

Jeremy M. Fay, 25, 485 Alexander St., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at his home. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Warrant Arrests

David Thompson, 33, 3608 York Road, Oak Brook, was arrested and charged with driving without a license after a traffic stop at York and Adelia at 7:01 p.m. Feb. 21. He also was found to have a warrant out of Oakbrook Terrace. He was released on bond.

Jeffrey D. Schneider, 22, 554 Berkley, came to the police station to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear on a drug charge at 8:45 a.m. Feb. 24. He was released on bond.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on the 200 block of South Fair Street at 3:56 p.m. March 3 on a warrant for failure to appear on a burglary charge. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
