Elmhurst Police Report Alcohol Arrests

Reports include DUI arrests and citations issued to five teens who showed up intoxicated to a York High School dance.

DUI Arrests

Richard K. Dean, 40, of Indiana was arrested under state charges for driving under the influence of alcohol after police found him sleeping behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was parked at Extended Stay of America, 551 W. Grand Ave., at 12:11 a.m. Feb. 16. He was taken to the hospital, and later taken to DuPage County Jail.

Mang K. Thang, 43, 403 N. President St. No. 12A, Wheaton, was arrested and charged with DUI after a traffic stop for improper lane use at Route 83 and Interstate 290 at 10:24 p.m. Feb. 16. Thang didn’t stop right away and also was charged with failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Thang was released on I-bond.

David Hamer, 22, 11701 Ridgeland, Worth, was arrested for DUI, driving with a revoked license, open alcohol and disobeying a traffic signal at 1:12 a.m. Feb. 18 at Harrison and Swain streets. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Cecilio Montenegro-Rubi, 40, 136 W. North Ave., Northlake, was arrested for DUI, driving without a license, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcohol after a traffic stop at Lake Street and Interstate 294 at 11:45 p.m. Feb. 18. A passenger in the vehicle, Ulysses D. Marquez, 45, 111 N. Harold Ave., Northlake, was charged with legal transportation of alcohol. They were released on bond.

Avelino Hernandez-Telle, 51, 1703 W. Dennis #302A, Mt. Prospect, was arrested and charged with improper lane use, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving without a license, driving without insurance and DUI after a traffic stop on southbound Route 83 between North Avenue and St. Charles Road at 12:43 a.m. Feb. 19. He was released on bond.

Jose C. Esquivel, 27, 657 W. Bode Circle, Hoffman Estates, was arrested and charged with DUI, improper lane use, speeding and depositing hazardous material on the road after a traffic stop at 1:24 a.m. at Interstate 290 and Route 83. He also was found to have a warrant out of Kane County. When he was taken into custody, he began to fight with the officers, and he was charged with resisting arrest. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Miguel Astudillo, 22, 1058 S. York #3B, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a license, speeding and driving without insurance after a traffic stop at Grand Avenue and Church Street at 3:34 a.m. Feb. 19. He was released on bond.

Nichole L. Adamik, 24, 4930 Highwood Lane, Lake in the Hills, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without headlights, speeding and driving with no insurance after a traffic stop on northbound York Road at North Avenue at 1:16 a.m. Feb. 20. She was released on bond.

Indolfo Mata, 51, 1043 S. York Road #612, Bensenville, was arrested and charged with DUI, improper lane use, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol after a traffic stop on northbound York between Fullerton and North Avenue at 1:22 a.m. Feb. 20. He was released on bond.

Anibal Lopez, 26, 1008 Green Valley St. #2, Bensenville, was arrested and charged with DUI, following too close, improper lane use, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving without a license, driving without insurance and disorderly conduct after a traffic stop at North Avenue and Indiana Street at 3:20 a.m. Feb. 20. Lopez reported gave officers a false name and date of birth when he was arrested. He also was found to have a warrant out of Cook County. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

Officials at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road, notified police that five students were suspected of consuming alcohol prior to attending a dance at the school between 7 and 9 p.m. Feb. 19. They all were issued citations for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
