Employees of 10 Elmhurst Stores and Bars Charged With Selling Alcohol, Cigarettes to Minors
Elmhurst Police crack-down held between 6 and 10 p.m. Oct. 27
Employees of several Elmhurst merchants have been charged with the sale of tobacco and alcohol to minors after a police crack-down Thursday night.
Charged with selling tobacco products to a minor are:
- Hyun Young Chung, 57, of 2617 Mary St., Elmhurst, an employee at Shell gas station, 301 W. North Ave., cited at 6:16 p.m.
- Nicole A. Stanford, 30, of 118 E. North Ave., Addison, an employee at Sal's Beverage World, 695 W. St. Charles Road, cited at 7:06 p.m.
- Rafiq T. Jaka, 62, 1510 President St., Glendale Heights, an employee at York Cigarette Shop, 573 N. York Road, cited at 7:51 p.m.
Charged with selling alcohol to a minor are:
- Kelsey E. Unseth, 23, 217 E. Park, Villa Park, a bartender at Fitz's Spare Keys, 119 N. York Road, cited at 7:15 p.m.
- Laura M. Cenci, 28, 4322 Fairview Apt. 2, Downers Grove, an employee at Buffalo Wild Wings, 149 York Road, cited at 7:40 p.m.
- Jeffrey M. Smith, 27, 3N275 Wilson St., Elmhurst, an employee at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., cited at 8:15 p.m.
- Ashley L. Thorpe, 22, 600 S. York Road, a bartender at Charlie's, 122 S. York Road, cited at 8:45 p.m.
- Lynn K. Ranallo, 53, 126 N. Cornell Ave., Villa Park, a bartender at the Elk's Club, 711 W. St. Charles Road, cited at 9:38 p.m.
- Frank J. Smith, 38, 518 E. Harding, LaGrange Park, an assistant manager at Jewel, 944 S. York Road, cited at 9:19 p.m.
- Kristin A. Underwood, 21, 366 Commonwealth Lane, Elmhurst, an employee at 7-Eleven, 525 S. Spring Road, cited at 9:53 p.m.
All were released at the scene on I-bond.
