Elmhurst Police Arrest Two on Vehicle Theft and Other Charges

Suspects also accused of stealing tools.

Police recovered a stolen vehicle after stopping two men who were traveling eastbound on Interstate 290 at Lake Street at 8:50 p.m. Nov. 7.

Gregory Wiemold, 43, 118 N. Villa, Elgin, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle, theft and aggravated driving with a revoked license. Ryon Kendrick 21, 12817 Pintail, Plainfield, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle and theft.

Several miscellaneous tools were found in the vehicle that allegedly had been stolen from a trailer parked on the 700 block of North Oaklawn.

They were taken to DuPage County Jail. Wiemold's next court appearance will be on Nov. 29. Kendrick is scheduled to appear on Dec. 3.
