Elmhurst Police Announce Alcohol and Drug Arrests

Two separate hit-and-run accidents lead to DUI arrests, student at York returns from restroom with white powder under her nose, and a young woman is arrested for driving under the influence of heroin.

DUI Arrests

Jennifer L. Iaccino, 25, 627 S. Prospect, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper parking on the roadway and no insurance after she was found slumped over the wheel at 209 S. Rex Blvd. at 11:26 p.m. Jan. 27. She was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital after she reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol. She was later charged and released on bond.

Thomas F. Guinan, 46, 483 Evergreen, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after a traffic stop for improper lane use and driving on the wrong side of the road at 12:53 a.m. Jan. 28 at York and Elmwood Terrace. He was released on bond.

Matthew J. Jantolak, 24, 608 Mendota Lane, Romeoville, was arrested and charged with DUI after a traffic stop for failure to signal at 3:39 a.m. Jan. 28 on westbound Roosevelt between Prospect and Salt Creek Lane. He was released on bond.

Kevin R. Moore, 45, 130 George St. #504, Bensenville, was arrested and charged under city ordinance with DUI, driving without lights and no insurance after a traffic stop at Third and Addison streets at 1:21 a.m. Jan. 29. He was released on bond.

Fidel Huerta Jr., 23, 4831 W. Concord Place, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI, improper turn and improper lane use after a traffic stop at North Avenue and Myrtle Street at 3:05 a.m. Jan. 29. He was released on bond.

Jeremiah D. Zimmerman, 30, 78 Paddock St., Montgomery, was arrested and charged with DUI and improper lane use after a traffic stop at Route 83 and Riverside Drive at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 29. He was released on I-bond.

Miroslay Mutl, 39, 2858 Laramie, Chicago, was arrested and charged with speeding, driving while license suspended and DUI after a traffic stop at Palmer Drive and York Road at 8:23 p.m. Feb. 6. Mutl was released on I-bond.

Kevin Cole, 52, 256 Hagans, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI, no insurance and driving with an expired drivers license at 5:43 p.m. Feb. 4. Cole was arrested at his home after police discovered that his vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Villa Park. Police said his white Ford F150 had front-end damage. He was released on I-bond.

Maurice J. Kalous, 33, 148 E. Quincy St., Riverside, was arrested and charged with improper lane use, failure to signal and DUI after a traffic stop at 1:08 a.m. at North Avenue and Oak Street. He was released on bond.

Adriana O’Campo, 24, 10524 Diversey, Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with improper lane use, failure to signal and DUI after a traffic stop at 1:49 a.m. Feb. 5 at North Avenue and Clinton Street. She was released on bond.

Elizabeth A. Fraser, 29, 25252 Shady Glen, Channahon, was arrested and charged with driving without headlights, failure to yield exiting a private drive and DUI after a traffic stop on northbound Route 83 between North Avenue and Interstate 290 at 12:15 a.m. Feb. 6. She was released on I-bond.

Mary C. Dunne, 26, 307 Kenmore Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI, improper lane use and failure to notify the police of a property damage crash after she struck a snow bank with her car at 11:53 p.m. Feb. 8. She allegedly fled the scene in another vehicle and was later located at her home. Due to her high level of intoxication, Dunne was taken to Elmhurst Hospital by medics. Once released from the hospital, she was taken into custody and charged. She was released on I-bond.

Drug Arrests

Christopher A. Hilliard, 21, 806 Irving, Hillside, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of open alcohol after a call for a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Burger King, 176 E. Butterfield Road, at 2:53 a.m. Jan. 29. Police searched Hilliard’s vehicle and reported found .5 grams of cannabis and open alcohol. He was released on I-bond.

Cory P. Stakic, 33, 1935 Cary Road, Algonquin, was arrested and charged under state charges with possession of a controlled substance after police saw him leaning over in the passenger seat of a vehicle with a hypodermic needle and foil at 920 N. York Road at 12:48 p.m. Jan. 29. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, speeding, failure to signal, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at York and Second streets at 1:06 a.m. Feb. 6. The teen admitted to smoking cannabis and having a pipe and cannabis in his car. A search yielded a small glass smoking pipe and a small baggie of cannabis. He was released on I-bond to his father. A 17-year-old passenger in the car was charged with violation of curfew and released on I-bond to his mother.

A student at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road, was reportedly excused to use the restroom by her teacher at around 11:30 a.m. Feb. 8, and she returned with a white powder under her nose. When she was later seen in the dean's office, police reported she had dialated pupils and appeared very sleepy. She said she had found a container in the hallway containing white powder and brought it to class. The incident is being investigated.

Erica D. Bray, 28, 1302 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs after a traffic stop for improper lane use at Interstate 290 and Route 83 at 2:02 p.m. Feb. 9. Bray allegedly admitted to using heroin. Police found heroin, a syringe and a burnt spoon inside the vehicle. She was released on I-bond.

Underage Drinking

A mother of a 17-year-old girl told police that the girl came home at 6:44 a.m. Jan. 30 intoxicated and they started arguing. The girl left the home and was found in the vehicle of her boyfriend, 20-year-old Kyle E. Lucki, 333 Grandview Ave., Glen Ellyn, on the 600 block of South York Road. She told police she had been drinking all night with her boyfriend. They were both taken into custody. The girl was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor and released on I-bond to her mother. Lucki was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and released on bond to his father.

Thomas Logue, 18, 817 Jefferson, Hinsdale; Carl A. Ramos, 18, 156 Herrick Road, Riverside; a 16-year-old boy; a 17-year-old boy; and two 17-year-old girls were arrested and cited under city ordinance for consumption of alcohol by a minor at 12:41 a.m. Jan. 29. They reportedly were seen consuming alcohol in a vehicle in the parking lot of Angelo’s Restaurant, 247 N. York Road. Officers learned that a party for Fenwick High School students was taking place inside the restaurant. All were released to their parents, except for one girl, who was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital due to her high level of intoxication. She was later cited and released to her parents.
