Elmhurst Man Cited Three Times Last Weekend

Domestic incidents also lead to arrests.

Criminal Trespass

An Elmhurst man was issued citations by Elmhurst police three times last weekend. William Jensen, 46, 463 N. Van Auken, was cited for trespass at Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 13. He had previously been banned from the property. Jenson was also found at 140 Industrial Drive at 12:42 a.m. Jan. 15, after having been served a no-trespass notice at this location. He was taken into custory and charged with trespass to property. Later the same day, at 6:28 p.m., Jensen was issued a citation for open liquor on public property. Police responded to Burger King, 436 N. York Road, on a medic call for a subject having seizures. Jensen was on a stretcher when police arrived. He had a half-empty 750 ml bottle of vodka in his backpack. He was released on I-bond.

Robert Thomas Fraser, 45, 5905 Ridge Ave., Berkeley, was arrested and charged with trespassing at Jewel, 944 S. York Road, at 4:36 p.m. Jan. 12. He was released on bond and given another copy of his no-trespass order.

Possession of Cannabis

Ruben Ortiz, 20, 1140 N. Princeton Apt. C, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and driving without insurance after police pulled over his silver Hyundai Sonata for failure to dim headlights at Grand and Industrial at 12:40 a.m. Jan. 12. He was released on I-bond.

While walking through the Waterford Banquet Hall, 933 S. Riverside Drive, at 8 p.m. Jan. 14, police discovered two people in possession of cannabis. David A. Ziesel, 32, 64 Fernwood Ave., Youngstown, Ohio, and Shannon L. Jackson, 28, of the same address, were charged with possession of cannabis and released on bond.

Domestic Battery

Linda King, 34, 243 N. Maple Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 13 at her home. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

David Snook, 33, 600 W. Third St., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 1:04 a.m. Jan. 14 at his home. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Aggravated Assault

Francisco J. Tovar, 40, 613 W. Comstock, Elmhurst, was arrested at 3:07 p.m. Jan. 15 and charged with aggravated assault after police were sent to his home on a report of a man threatening people with a knife. Tovar had left the home when police arrived but was located later with a bleeding hand. A witness reportedly told police Tovar had threatened to kill everyone in the house.
