Elmhurst Man Arrested on Warrants Related to Burglary, Drug Possession Cases

Elmhurst police arrest the suspect in Berkley after he led Berkley officers on a chase.

Elmhurst police helped apprehend an Elmhurst man who was wanted on warrants for failure to appear in court related to charges of burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Robert Michael Kouzoukas, 29, 312 W. North Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested on two warrants out of DuPage County on Feb. 6 after the owner of the Mercury Grand Marquis he was driving reported it stolen. Kouzoukas led Berkley police on a chase through Berkley, and then he abandoned the vehicle in Bellwood.

Elmhurst police located him in Berkley and transported him to the Berkley police station.

Kouzoukas was arrested on burglary charges in Villa Park in April 2011 and for possession of a controlled substance in Elmhurst in June 2011. He is being held in DuPage County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Feb. 14.
