Elmhurst Man Arrested for Punching Cab Driver, Stealing Cab in Urbana
News-Gazette is reporting Thomas Hart was released on bond Saturday.
A 21-year-old Elmhurst man reportedly was arrested Saturday for punching a cab driver, stealing his vehicle then crashing into another car and injuring two people.
It all happened at the University of Illinois, on the 2500 block of East Washington Street in Urbana, according to an article in the News-Gazette.
Thomas Hart, of Elmhurst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated battery and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was released from jail Saturday after posting $2,500 bond, according to the paper.
