Elmhurst Cops Say Drug Deal Thwarted When Officers Notice 'Suspicious Activity'

The police arrested two men and reportedly seized a half-ounce of pot.

The "suspicious" behavior of two men led the cops to break up a pot deal Friday afternoon, police said.

The blown deal ended with the arrest of two men and the police reportedly confiscating a half-ounce of marijuana.

Darius Beal, 24, of 5160 Madison St. in Hillside was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the 4:45 p.m. incident by the 110 W. North Ave. CVS.

The second man, 56-year-old Darrell Dockery of 7340 Princeton Circle Drive in Hanover Park, was charged with possession of cannabis.

Cops drawn to the "suspicious activity" of Beal and Dockery "learned they were meeting for a drug transaction," police said.

After arresting the two men, the cops reportedly headed to Beal's home where they found the half-ounce and additional drug paraphernalia.
