The Elmhurst cops ran into a second drunken cyclist in less than a week and this time made an arrest, police said.

Brian Kowal, 36, of 895 S. Hillside Ave. in Elmhurst was charged with public intoxication after he allegedly fell off his bicycle about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

An officer was sent over to 643 S. Hillside Ave. to check out a report of a man who "fell off a bicycle," police said.

Kowal was "found to be highly intoxicated," police said. "He struck a curb which caused him to fall off his bicycle."

Kowal was released on bond but still got a raw deal compared to the allegedly drunken cyclist the police found April 29. That one—an Elmhurst woman—fell off her bicycle as she was pedaling home from a bar early in the early morning hours, police said, but didn't get arrested or anything.

What does a video from Cleveland have anything to do with Elmhurst? The Patch has really gone downhill changing from local news reporting to a misleading and bottom feeding blog.

Similar reporting as the National Enquirer!
