Elmhurst Cops Called For Father-Son Laundry Dispute

A father told his son to pick the clothes up off the floor. The son called the police.

The Elmhurst police sorted out a father-son laundry dispute early Thursday morning.

An Elmhurst resident called the cops about 3 a.m. "because his father had thrown his clothes in the garbage," police said.

That wasn't exactly true, according to the police.

The father explained that he told his son "last night to pick up his clothes off the floor in the basement or they would be thrown out in the morning," police said.

"When (the father) was getting ready for work this morning, he found the clothes still on the floor," police said. "He put the clothes in a laundry basket and put the basket on the edge of the garbage can, not inside."

The police said they were not going to investigate the matter any further.
