The man solicited "indecent liberties" from an officer posing as a 15-year-old girl, Elmhurst police said.

The Elmhurst Police Department arrested a 28-year-old Des Plaines man for indecent solicitation of a child, according to officers.

Police said Jeffrey Mytnik, 28, of Des Plaines, was arrested May 29 in the 800 block of North York Street in Elmhurst and charged with indecent solicitation of a child, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

"During this undercover investigation, the offender allegedly solicited indecent liberties in a series of electronic communications with an Elmhurst Police Officer who was posting as a 15-year-old female," a department release said.

Mytnik has been released on $100,000 bond, the release said.
