The Elmhurst cops continued cracking down on bicyclists, this time arresting a man who was pedaling around at night without a light, police said.
Donte Mitchell, 23, of 718 N. Michigan St. was taken into custody shortly after 2 a.m. Friday near the corner of York Street and Crestview Avenue.
An officer who stopped Mitchell for cycling without a light discovered there was a DuPage County warrant out for his arrest, police said. The warrant charged Mitchell with failing to appear in court.
Mitchell was taken to the police station and transported to the DuPage County jail.
While Mitchell may have been a wanted man, he at least was not drunk or falling off his bike.
