Elmhurst Coin Shop Door Damaged
Nobody got in but the door was damaged to the tune of $1,000, police said.
Someone damaged the door of Elmhurst Coins and Collectibles Monday night.
Officers sent to check a burglar alarm at the 127 N. Addison coin shop "observed pry marks on the door frame," police said.
"No entry was gained," police said. "Estimated damages $1,000."
The person trying to get into the coin shop was driving a black Chevy Blazer, police said.
