DuPage DUI Arrests, June 16 Edition

June 8:

  • Aaron E. Johnson, 23, of the 1900 block of Hitchcock, Downers Grove, was arrested at 9:37 p.m. on the 700 block of Prairie. He was charged with the following:

·       DUI alcohol

·       Aggravated assault

·       Speeding too fast for conditions

Johnson's purple Honda Accord was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was later transported to the DuPage County Jail, where he remains on $2,000 bond as of June 13.

  • Christopher A. Schlesinger, of the 19W100 block of 17th Plaza, Lombard, was arrested at 3:47 a.m. at Brook and Centre Circle. Schlesinger was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08 and improper lane usage. His gray Ford Mustang was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was released on $300 and an I-bond and has a July 10 court date in Wheaton.
  • Lisette Leyva, of the 600 block of Adobe Court, Carol Stream, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. at Butterfield Road and Highland Avenue. Leyva was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08. Her gray Chrysler Sebring was towed from the scene to an impound lot. She was released on I-bond and has a July 17 court date in Wheaton.

ELMHURST

June 12: Thadius Bieniek, 24, of the 3N100 block of Cuyahoga Terrace, West Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol after police pulled over his blue Jeep Wrangler for obstructed windows at St. Charles and Mitchell at 4:48 a.m. He was released on bond.

June 11: James G. North, 59, of the 1500 block of West Irving Park Road, Itasca, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs after his green Ford Ranger crashed into Elmhurst Restaurant, 441 Lake St., at 12:05 p.m. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was released on bond.

June 10: Francisco Cruz, 38, of the 100 block of Cayuga, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI, driving without insurance, obstructing identification, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his white Isuzu Trooper for improper lane use and improper turn at York and Eggleston at 12:17 a.m. He was taken to DuPage County Jail and his vehicle towed for forfeiture.

June 8: Ulysses Benitez, 20, of the 500 block of South Michigan Court, Addison, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance, obstructing identification, consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his tan Acura TL for speeding and improper turn at Lake and Grand at 5:24 a.m. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. 

June 7:

  • David Scanlan, 30, of the 500 block of North Park, Westmont, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his blue Ford Ranger for improper lane use and no headlights at Route 83 and Riverside Drive at 11:21 p.m. He was released on bond.
  • Linda M. Delgado, 20, of the 1600 block of North Mobile Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and driving without insurance after the tan Ford Contour she was driving struck a pole at North and Maple at 4:47 a.m. She was released on bond.

GLEN ELLYN

June 7: Michael J. Herman, 54, of the 21W700 block of McCarron Road, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 11:50 p.m. at Nicoll and Pershing with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper turn at an intersection, police said.

June 5: Rachael A. Kroll, 22, of the 700 block of Tennyson Drive, Wheaton, was charged at 4:03 a.m. with DUI, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding and driving with one headlight at Roosevelt Road and Main Street, police said.

June 2:

  • Cecilia C. Nuss, 22, of the 200 block of Ingalton, West Chicago, was charged at 10:11 p.m. with DUI at Roosevelt Road and Lambert, police said.
  • Mohammad T. Raza, 47, of the 500 block of Thornhill, Carol Stream, was charged with the following:

·       DUI

·       Possession of cannabis 30 grams and under

·       Uninsured motor vehicle

·       Failure to signal

·       No registration light

Raza was arrested at 8:39 p.m. at Cheltenham and Finley Road, police said. 

HINSDALE

June 10: Klari H. Senk Templeton, 25, of the 100 block of East Fourth Street, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Police at 8:53 p.m. were dispatched at Fourth and Elm streets for a traffic crash in which a car struck a tree, according to a report. Police located an open bottle of alcohol in Senk Templeton's vehicle. Senk Templeton was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test to determine blood alcohol level. The arrestee was charged and released to appear in court.

June 9: Victor M. Medina, 27, of the 6100 block of Knoll Valley Drive, Willowbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. Police at 3:19 a.m. stopped Medina at 55th and Monroe streets for improper lane use, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test to determine blood alcohol level. He was charged and released to appear in court. 

June 8: Arturo Garza, 36, of the 4000 block of South Montgomery Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding 60 mph in a 35 mph-zone, according to a police report. Police at 12:49 a.m. stopped Garza at Madison Street and Ogden Avenue for speeding. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test to determine blood alcohol level. He was charged and released to appear in court.

LEMONT

June 8: Eduardo Garcia, 24, of the 5900 block of West 87th Place, Oak Lawn, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. following a traffic stop at McCarthy Road and Archer Avenue. Garcia was charged with the following: 

·       Aggravated driving under the influence

·       Suspended registration 

·       Driving while license suspended

·       Speeding

·       Improper lane usage

Garcia appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

LISLE

May 26:

  • Eric K. Williams, 21, of the 4600 block of Lake Trail Drive, Lisle, was charged with the following:

·       Driving under the influence of alcohol

·       Obstructing justice

·       Illegal lane usage

·       Operating an uninsured vehicle

·       Driving too fast for conditions

Williams was arrested at 11:48 p.m. on the 2900 block of Old Tavern Road after Lisle police investigated a traffic accident, according to a report.

  • Jaysun A. Langley, 28, of the 5900 block of Oakwood Drive, Lisle, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to yield while turning left. Langley was arrested at 2:17 a.m. at Maple Avenue and Burr Oak Road after Lisle police conducted a traffic stop, according to a report.
  • Michael C. Rees, 21, of the 300 block of Park Ridge, Aurora, was charged with the following:

·       Driving under the influence of alcohol

·       Improper signal

·       Illegal lane usage

·       Squealing/screeching tires

Rees was arrested at 2:07 a.m. on the 1000 block of Maple Avenue after Lisle police conducted a traffic stop, according to a report.

WHEATON

June 9: Police charged Steven E. Wallace, 23, of the 700 block of East Crescent, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended. Wallace was arrested at 2:59 a.m. at Gary Court and Harrison while driving a silver or aluminum 1997 Acura Integra, according to a police report. Wallace was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released early the next morning.

June 7: Police charged Claudia L. Melgoza, 28, of the 7900 block of South Tripp, Chicago, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Melgoza was arrested at 9:49 a.m. at Butterfield Road and Cromwell. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and later released.

June 6: Police charged Elizabeth A. Kruse, 49, of the 700 block of North Irving Avenue, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Kruse was arrested at 3 p.m. on the 200 block of North Cross while driving a white 2002 Jeep Liberty, according to a police report. Kruse was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that afternoon.

June 4: Police charged Aryal Suzanne Eden, 21, of the 2200 block of Brentwood Avenue, Montgomery, with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended. Eden was arrested at 1:32 a.m. at Jewell and Pleasant Hill while driving a gray 2005 Pontiac Grand Am, according to a police report. Eden was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and then transferred to the DuPage County Jail, where she was later released. 

June 3:

  • Police charged Diana L. Prince-Brown, 44, of the 1300 block of Palisades Drive, Bolingbrook, with driving under the influence of drugs. Prince-Brown was arrested at 2:08 p.m. on the 1700 block of South Naperville Road, according to a police report. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that afternoon.
  • Police charged Felix B. Rodriguez, 37, of the 400 block of North Main Street, Glen Ellyn, with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended. Rodriguez was arrested at 12:44 a.m. at Geneva and Summit while driving a blue 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, according to a police report. Rodriguez was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
