DOWNERS GROVE

April 5: Evan W. Bartl, of the 7200 block of Kidwell, Downers Grove, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. at Main Street and Oxford. Bartl was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed, unlawful possession of alcohol and operating an uninsured vehicle. His blue Honda Civic was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was released on I-bond and has a May 8 court date in Wheaton.

April 4: Petrina D. Pierce-Hall, of the 1100 block of South Cuyler, Oak Park, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. at Ogden Avenue and Roslyn. Pierce-Hall was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol while suspended for driving under the influence, improper lane usage, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. Her green Ford Explorer was towed from the scene to an impound lot. She was transported to the DuPage County Jail where she remains on $50,000 bail. She has a May 8 court date in Wheaton.

April 1: Tiffany L. Gann, 32, of the 1500 block of Almond Court, Downers Grove, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. at Highland Avenue and Butterfield Road. Gann was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, open alcohol and failure to signal. Her silver Hyundai Sonata was towed from the scene to an impound lot. She was released on I-bond and has a May 1 court date in Wheaton.

March 31: Brent M. Tyson, 30, of the 3900 block of Vesper Court, Naperville, was arrested at 1:58 a.m. at 63rd and Main streets. Tyson was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, making an improper turn and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. His black Nissan Altima was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was released on I-bond and has a May 8 court date in Wheaton.

March 29: Gerald D. Bednar, 32, of the 5600 block of Katrine, Downers Grove, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. at 61st Street and Ridgewood Circle. Bednar was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane usage and failure to signal. His purple Chevy S10 was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was released on I-bond and has a May 1 court date in Wheaton.

ELMHURST

April 9: Hector Flores, 21, 2526 Harding, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a license and illegal transportation of alcohol after police pulled over his white GMC for improper lane use and disobeying a traffic control device at Lake and Grand at 2:49 a.m. He was released on bond. Two passengers, Elias Rosaled, 43, 10411 W. Fullerton, Melrose Park, and Juan G. Sandoval, 35, 2526 Harding, Chicago, were charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and were released on bond.

April 7: Brian Bachman, 43, 2217 Ivan St. Apt. 1205, Dallas, Texas, was arrested and charged with DUI after police said they found him passed out at the wheel of his black Buick Enclave on the 300 block of Eggleston at 12:31 a.m.

April 6: Elmhurst police stopped Randy Shears, 27, 193 S. York, Bensenville, after he allegedly fled the scene of an accident at Interstate 290 and York at 12:05 a.m. Shears was a passenger in another vehicle. Elmhurst police turned him over to the custody of the Illinois State Police for DUI, according to the police report.

April 5: Christopher Kerkau, 51, 128 S. Illinois, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over his silver Honda CRV for improper lane use at St. Charles and Villa at 9:41 p.m. He was released on bond.

HINSDALE

April 8: Debra L. Rehling, 59, of the 7800 block of Darien Lake Drive, Darien, was charged at 10:50 a.m. with driving under the influence with a BAC over .08 and failure to yield at a stop intersection. Rehling failed to yield at the two-way stop intersection at the Lane and County Line Road and caused a traffic crash, according to police. Rehling was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted a breath sample that was over .08. She was charged and released to appear in court.

April 7: Evan A. Ciner, 29, of the 12000 block of Center Drive, Lemont, was charged at 2:43 a.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol. Ciner had stopped on the shoulder of southbound Route 83 at 55th Street when a police officer went to check on him. Ciner was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused to submit to breath testing. He was charged and released to appear in court.

LEMONT

April 7: Robert J. Warja, 51, of the 16900 block of Marilyn Drive, Tinley Park, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. following a traffic stop at 127th Street and Timberline Drive. Warja was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and no insurance. He was issued a May 3 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

WHEATON

April 7:

  • Police charged Rob M. Hannus, 21, of the 600 block of Sand Creek, Carol Stream, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Hannus was driving a gray 2008 Hyundai Elantra GL at about 2:35 a.m. near the intersection of Naperville Road and Farnham when police initiated a traffic stop. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Thomas S. Lawrence, 40, of the 300 block of West Eugenia, Lombard, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Lawrence was driving a yellow 1970 Chevy pickup at about 12:47 a.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Geneva Road when police initiated a traffic stop. Lawrence was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

April 6: Police charged Christopher J. Bloom, 32, of the 2S100 block of Churchill Lane, Glen Ellyn, with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bloom was driving a black 2003 Acura CL at about 12:30 a.m. on the 300 block of Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn when police initiated a traffic stop. Bloom was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

April 5: Police charged Adam Eakins, 32, of the 100 block of Kenilworth Avenue, Villa Park, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Eakins was driving a dark blue 2006 Ford Crew Cab at about 8:52 p.m. near the intersection of Butterfield Road and West Loop when police initiated a traffic stop. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

April 4: Police charged Brian F. Connelly, 45, of the 1500 block of County Farm Road, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Connelly was driving a white 2010 Ford Explorer at about 12:35 a.m. near the intersection of Wheaton and Willow when police initiated a traffic stop. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

March 31: Police charged Kristine M. McNamara, 26, of the 23800 block of Plainsman Circle, Plainfield, with driving under the influence of alcohol. McNamara was driving a silver or aluminum 2004 Mazda RX-8 at about 12:38 a.m. near the intersection of Driving Park and Geneva Road when police initiated a traffic stop. McNamara was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

March 30:

  • Police charged Nereyda Hernandez, 22, of the 400 block of Elwood Avenue, Joliet, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Hernandez was driving a silver or aluminum 2008 Pontiac Torrent at about 2:34 a.m. near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Legends Drive when police initiated a traffic stop. Hernandez was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Jessica F. Carroll, 22, of the 1900 block of Berkshire Pl, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Carroll was driving a silver or aluminum 2004 Volkswagen Jetta at about 2:09 a.m. near the intersection of Forest and West when police initiated a traffic stop. Carroll was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged John D. Cleary, 26, of the first block of east 14th Pl, Lombard, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Cleary was driving a gray 2009 Chevy Malibu at about 2:08 a.m. near the intersection of Main and Seminary when police initiated a traffic stop. Cleary was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

March 29: Police charged Joseph Bruno, 24, of the 1600 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Berwyn, with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis. Bruno was driving a red 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix at about 11:32 p.m. near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Main Street when police initiated a traffic stop. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released the next day. During the same incident, police charged Gabriel A. Melesio, 25, of the 4100 block of Elm Avenue, Lyons, with possession of cannabis. He was released early the next day.

March 28: Police charged Robert Doyle, 50, of the 1500 block of Brittany Court, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Doyle was driving a blue 1997 Ford Explorer at about 11:14 p.m. near the intersection of Naperville Road and Tennyson Drive when police initiated a traffic stop. Doyle was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released to his residence early the next morning.

WOODRIDGE

March 31: Thomas Corcoran, 39, of the 400 block of North LaLonde, Lombard, was charged at 2:18 a.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on 75th Street at I-355.
