Drunk Man Found Near Union Pacific Railroad Tracks at West Avenue

Drunk Man Found By Tracks
Elmhurst police were called at about 12:37 a.m. June 4 to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks at West Avenue for someone laying near the tracks and said they found an extremely intoxicated man. Anthony M. Krause, 23, of 703 W. Liberty in Elmhurst, was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He was charged with public intoxication and possession of open alcohol.

An employee of Elmhurst Toyota Scion, 440 Lake St., told police June 4 that someone slashed seven-inch gashes in four tires on two Toyota Highlanders over the weekend to steal pressure sensors inside the tires. The four sensors were worth $150 each.
Vehicle Burglarized

A resident of the 400 block of Ridgeland Avenue told police June 4 that someone entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the garage and stole the ignition key and about $50 in cash and coins. The burglary happened over the weekend and the resident noticed it because the console and glove compartment were disturbed.
House Egged
A home on the100 block of west Jackson was hit by thrown eggs, police learned at about 9:30 p.m. June 4.
Vehicles Hit Sign, Light Pole
A Ford Explorer sport-utility vehicle struck an Illinois Department of Transportation sign at Route 83 and Lake Street at about 7:59 p.m. June 4, police said. The driver, an Elmhurst man, was not ticketed, according to the police report.
No tickets were issued after a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old Darien woman struck a light pole at Schiller and Palmer at about 8:15 p.m. June 4.
