Domino's Delivery Driver Attacked for His Pizzas

Another man attacked as he left a wedding; both assailants got away.

Strong-arm Robbery

A pizza delivery driver was robbed as he attempted to deliver pizzas on the 100 block of South Rex at 10:17 p.m. April 14. The offender, a black man about 20 years old, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall with a medium build and wearing a dark green hoodie, dark winter cap, dark blue jeans and black Nike gym shoes, wrestled with the Domino's Pizza delivery driver and took the "Heat Wave" insulated bag containing two large cheese pizzas. The pizzas were worth $18, and the insulated bag is valued at $90. Police tried to track the suspect with a police dog, but he got away.

Battery

A man told police he was leaving a wedding on the 600 block of West North Avenue with a few other people at 12:18 a.m. April 15, when he was followed by four or five subjects. One of the subjects hit him over the head with a bottle, causing a cut to his head. The victim refused medical attention and was unable to identify the subjects.
