Domestic Battery Arrests Reported by Elmhurst Police

Witness reports an instance of violence in public.

Domestic Battery Arrests

Priscilla Melo, 37, 118 W. Virginia Apt. 1, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after she reportedly threw several items at a man and struck him with a tiki torch on the upper right side of his body at 11:40 a.m. July 2. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

David R. Kindred, 41, 440 N. Berteau, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 12:02 a.m. July 3 at his home. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Dion U. Malik-Davi, 30, 1906 Stoddard Ave., Wheaton, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic battery after a witness reportedly saw him slap a person in the face, throw objects at them and slam their head into the dashboard of a vehicle at 8:21 p.m. July 6 at 601 W. St. Charles Road. Malik-Davi was taken to DuPage County Jail.

A woman on the 700 block of South Chatham called police after her 26-year-old grandson reportedly was acting erratically at 5:03 a.m. July 2. Police reported the man was “in a stupor” at the kitchen table. The woman said he had been up all night doing “odd things” and having emotional outbursts, and that she could not handle him. He was issued a no-trespass order and was escorted with his belongings off the property.
