Dirty Old Man Says Creepy Things to Elmhurst Lifeguard in Letter & Phone Call: Cops

The dirty old man met the young woman at a "graduation ceremony," police said.

A dirty old man said some pretty creepy things to a lifeguard from the Elmhurst YMCA, police said.

The young woman met the man "during a graduation ceremony" at an unspecified time and place, according to an account of the matter released by the Elmhurst Police Department.

Police said the man is about 70 years old and white, but provided no other description of him. The police did say that, "During a normal conversation" he had with the young woman at the graduation, "she told the (man) that she was a lifeguard at the YMCA in Elmhurst."

The two apparently parted after the graduation, but then, police said, "Over the past few weeks, the victim received a phone call and letter stating, 'Do you know what would look good under you? Me,'" which is sad and not even the way the tired old line is supposed to go.

There was an email address on the back of the letter, police said, and a cop sent a message to it "advising the person he needs to contact" the officer. Shockingly, the old man did not immediately respond to the message.

The police said Monday there is an "investigation pending." Elmhurst Deputy Police Chief Dominic Panico failed to answer questions about the status of this investigation.
