A man found unresponsive inside a home on South York Road Sunday evening died due to an accident, according to a statement released Tuesday by Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth.

A DuPage coroner's investigation revealed that Robert J. Banas, 46, died from injuries sustained in a fall.

"Investigation revealed that the victim, who has some partial paralysis and other medical conditions, fell down a flight of stairs from the second floor bedroom level of the residential bungalow at 757 York Road," Ruth said.
