Crash With Injuries, Drug Possession and DUI Reported in Elmhurst April 21

Crash with Injuries

A 75-year-old Melrose Park man and a 25-year-old Northlake man were taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital after a three-car accident on North Avenue west of Interstate 290 at 9 p.m. April 21. A 16-year-old from Elmhurst, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane use.

Brooke A. McCarty, 23,, 29W608 Westchester Circle #4, Warrenville, was arrested  and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and heroin), aggravated driving with a suspended license, improper use of registration and expired registration after a traffic stop at 3:46 a.m. April 20 at York and Cayuga. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Jessica M. Duplessis, 24, 110 George St. #317, Bensenville, was arrested and charged under city ordinance with driving under the influence of drugs and no insurance after a traffic stop at 12:31 a.m April 21 at York and Fremont. Police reportedly found cannabis inside the vehicle.

DUI Arrest

Rogelio Martinez, 21, 1515 Lark Ave., Melrose Park, was arrested and charged under city ordinance with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and no insurance after a traffic stop at 1:19 a.m. April 21 at North and Illinois Street. He was released on I-bond.

Domestic Battery

Anthony Fender, 39, 410 Huntington Lane, was arrested for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery at 6:57 a.m. April 21 at his home. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
