Convicted Felon Found with Stun Gun

Addison man wanted for battery faces multiple charges.

An Addison man driving in Elmhurst was arrested after police discovered he was in possession of a stun gun and wanted for battery.

Willie L. Phillips, 32, 560 N. Mill St., was stopped when police noticed that his white Jeep Cherokee didn't have working tail lights at 11:35 p.m. April 23 at Lake and Addison streets. Police discovered he was driving on a revoked license, and he had a no-bond warrant for battery. While searching Phillips, who is a convicted felon, police found a stun gun in his left coat pocket.

Phillips was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and driving with a revoked license. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
