Chicago Woman Arrested For Taking Heroin Into Elmhurst: Cops
The Chicago woman was locked up in the DuPage County jail.
A Chicago woman who violated all manner of traffic rules turned out to have a bag of heroin in her car, police said.
Deshawna Bellamy, 23, of 7621 S. Shore Drive was pulled over about 5:15 p.m. Thursday. She was speeding, failed to signal and went onto the shoulder to pass another vehicle, police said.
Bellamy was then "found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and one bag of heroin," police said.
Bellamy was charged with possession of a controlled substance and taken to the DuPage County jail.
